  1. The university’s 295-acre campus is an arboretum of more than 5,000 trees of approximately 500 species.

  2. Eugene, Oregon is known as Track Town USA, due to UO's connection to Nike and the history of running. UO has hosted the past 4 Olympic Track & Field Trials at Hayward Field (most recently in June 2024)

  3. Phil and Penny Knight donated $500 million to the Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact. The world-class facilities opened in 2020 and continues to expand.
