Points of Pride

  1. Nevada hosts our annual Sontag Entrepreneurship Competition which allows any student regardless of major to present a business plan in the hopes of winning $50,000 to build said business.

  2. In Fall 2023, the university received a $36 million gift donation to create an Aerospace Engineering Department. While the university already offers an aerospace engineering minor, this gift donation allows Nevada to build and develop and aerospace major.

  3. Nevada has a Lake Tahoe campus located in Incline Village which allows students to complete a sustainability certificate during one semester.
