University of East Anglia

Norwich, England | uea.ac.uk

University of East Anglia (UEA) is a campus university just two miles from the medieval city center of Norwich – a truly British city. UEA ranks in the UK top 25. Flagship programs include the UK’s first School of Environmental Sciences and Creative Writing course. UEA's academic strengths include business, history, film studies, economics, international relations, and global development. Campus features live music events, pubs, club nights, film screenings, and an array of student societies to join. UEA is home to one of the largest indoor sports centers, the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts (featured in some Avengers films), and its own medical center. The library is open 24/7. Students have access to support and career services, as well as a multi-faith center. Costs can be favorable to U.S. universities and most undergraduate degrees are earned in three years. UEA accepts Federal Loans through FAFSA and offers competitive scholarships.

Points of Pride

  1. Notable UEA alumni include Matt Smith, John Rhys-Davies, Ian McEwan, and Kazuo Ishiguro, and Jiang Shuying.

  2. Norwich, where UEA is located, has been named most vegan friendly, best for vintage shopping, and one of the best places to live. It truly is a hidden gem!

  3. UEA is on 360 acres of accessible land, including wildlife trails that go through fens, meadows and woodland. Campus is hedgehog friendly, full of bunnies (the unofficial mascot), and home to some Shetland ponies!
