Founded in 1870, The Ohio State University is a land-, sea-, and space-grant institution located in Columbus, the capital of Ohio. OSU offers students over 200 majors and boasts a 94.1% freshman retention rate. Students study abroad in over 200 programs offered in 50 countries and attend any of the 36 career fairs to build their pathway for the future. Rooted in strong campus tradition, students cheer on or represent the Buckeyes through 71 NCAA teams, 58 competitive sport clubs, and numerous other intramural events.
